Fertinagro Biotech is the head of the the Plant Nutrition Division of Grupo Térvalis, a business group dependent on the Inversalia Patrimonio holding, which operates in the agri-food, renewable energy and tourism sectors

1986Creation of the first composting unit for organic fertilisers and microelements in Sarrión (Teruel).

1991Construction of the first solid granular NPK fertiliser plant in Teruel.

1994Leatransa, Levantino Aragonesa de Tránsitos S.A., the group’s port logistics company is founded.

1995Establishment of the Escucha plant for the composting of organic fertilisers.
Expansion of the Sarrión plant for the production of complex organominerals and superphosphates. -
1999Construction of the first soluble powder fertiliser factory in Utrillas (Teruel).

2001The first phosphate production plant for animal nutrition is established in Utrillas.

2003Asturiana de Fertilizantes, an investee company located in Avilés and dedicated to the production of superphosphates, is incorporated.

2005Approval in the National Legislation of the urease inhibitor MCDHS (Monocarbamide Dihydrogen Sulfate) patented by Fertinagro Biotech known as DURAMON therafter. Beginning of the collaboration of Fertinagro Biotech with the Tervalis Foundation established this year.

2006Acquisition of the SCPA Suroeste granular NPK fertiliser factory located in Misson.

2007The company Sephos is created to manage a phosphate mining concession in Senegal.

2009Construction of the biostimulant fertiliser plant in Utrillas (Teruel).

2012Fertinagro Sur begins the management of a fertiliser factory and transfers the Utrillas animal nutrition products plant to Huelva.

2015GlobalFeed is born, a company dedicated to the production and marketing of efficient solutions for animal nutrition.
Creation of the Agrovip model as an agronomic technical service. -
2017First steps towards the implementation of the CIBA (Center for Applied Biotechnology) in Teruel.>br> European Phytase approval.
Creation of the Térvalis Chair of “Bioeconomy and Society” with Unizar. -
2018OCP enters as a strategic ally of the Group (20% holding of Fertinagro Biotech).
Creation of the Fertinagro Biotech Chair of “Agricultural Biotechnology” with the UPV.
Collaboration agreement between Fertinagro Biotech and the CSIC. -
2019Fertinagro Organia is established as the first “Zero CO2 Emissions” factory.
Creation of OFAS for the development of new granulation plants in Morocco (50% Fertinagro 50% OCP).
Creation of the Biocontrol products division. -
2020The new bio-fertilisers plant in Utrillas, the largest in Europe, is completed.
The new Phoseko plant in Palos de la Frontera is inaugurated, dedicated to the solubilisation of waste products. RSA seal for Fertinagro Biotech. -
2021Obtaining the ENAC Accreditation for our quality laboratory in Utrillas.
Presentation of the NOVOPHOS technology awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Production of the new line of AZO-N bio-fertilisers begins. -
2022OCP-Globalfeed Alliance at 50% for the development of food phosphates. Fertinagro Biotech is the first European company certified under the new EU Regulation 1009/2019. MCDHS (DURAMON technology) first urease inhibitor certified by the previous Regulation.
